Thank you to everyone who submitted their poem for the CTK Foundation Philanthropic Fund competition! We received several entries—all of them heartfelt, moving and just pretty darn good! Our hats off to you talented poets!
The decision was hard but we finally came to an agreement—our winning poem is here for you to enjoy:
Dear: Youth Generation– Please learn from the past
Domestic Violence can last and last
Prevent future heartaches for you and your child
When dating, make sure he’s gentle, not wild
Be on the lookout for signs you can see
And hopefully, someday, happy you’ll be
Heed these words, or regret you may find
The Safe Space will teach you to find someone kind
